First Snow

Today is the first time this winter that we've had enough snow to slightly cover the ground. So, this was a great opportunity for Carter to experience what it's like to see the beautiful snowflakes fall and to feel the cold snow between his fingers. It was a very wet snow; almost like spilt slushies without the food coloring.

Before we went outside, we peeked out the window together. I whispered to Carter, "Look at the pretty, pretty snow!" and he immediately tried to sound out the word "pretty." It was so precious!

We went outside just long enough for me to catch a few pictures as the snow swirled around us. Carter didn't have the right kind of shoes and pants to let him crawl around in it, but he enjoyed standing in it for a few moments. Then we were quickly back inside to dry off and warm up.
What a fun, sweet time with my little one!
